Animation illustrations for an explainer video for Alder Hey Hospital's Sunflower House.
It is for children and young people aged 5 to 13 years old who have the most challenging mental health conditions.
The new building has 12 specially designed bedrooms and a family bedroom, providing a safe and high-quality space to stay.
The video shows 2 children who are staying at Sunflower House and gives an insight on what patients can expect by staying at the unit.
The idea was to use actual photos of the unit but use animated characters for the patient, unit staff and parents.
I designed all the characters and prepared assets for use in animation.
